when we ask "why", it is often followed by an exclamation point instead of a question mark.
we are already angry before we get to find out the actual reason for something we dislike occuring. this often leads to chagrin or embarrassment, admitted or otherwise.
but there is another premature feeling with the asking of the question "why" and i also should remind myself that when one asks the question "why?" it should not be accompanied by tears, or feelings of grief. worrying kills me. for this reccurring sin, i am punished adequately. and my punishment has been to suffer worrying itself.
one who asks a question should have the patience to wait for an answer. things may not be all that bad, after all.
'tis so easy to say these things!
